Work in progress
Hey! You stole the novel from us! What happened with it?

Since I started this web page, the main goal was to communicate with people. I have found it increasingly difficult, because I am not an Internet person and I guess social media are the key to the success of any site you try to promote nowadays. But I have kept writing and trying to keep my chin up with the writing business. As you are probably aware (check this and this), I am currently working on a play and we are facing a first performance due for next May, so I am quite busy with the real side of life.
But there are some other things that have kept me away from the on-line project. Maybe it’s too soon to tell, but I have been proposed to be a part on a big cultural appointment next March, 18th, here in Jaén. And I have participated in hundreds of them in the past, but after almost a couple of years of self-conscious nothingness, this back-to-business appointment makes me feel a slight tingle inside.
So, to answer your question, I have deleted the two first chapters I published because I am working on the novel as a madman, polishing it and trying to get to the end before March 18th, in order to release it then. And this might be a secret between you and me, Mike, but I guess that this cultural talk might be a good moment to be back in business. As Paul Auster used to say “Literature is essentially loneliness. It is written in solitude, it is read in solitude and, in spite of everything, the act of reading allows a communication between two human beings.”
Love, Enrique.
